Kate Waters is a Nutritional Therapist, chef and food/health consultant. She is mother to one smiling boy and lives on the border of Wiltshire, Somerset and Dorset.
Kate sees clients for all health issues, but she specialises in:
1. Women's health
For example: IC and recurrent UTI conditions, infertility, support whilst taking bioidentical hormones, irregular periods and much more.
Getting the body into a healthy state before conception helps to ensure a healthy pregnancy, this is important for both men and women.
Support during pregnancy - foods, supplements and lifestyle advice whilst going through all three trimesters and the birth.
Post-partum - what is needed to restore the body, promote milk production and sustain the body through tiredness and the wonderful, but long, days with a new baby.
3. Gut health
e.g. Coeliac, IBS and other gut-related problems including SIBO.
Kate’s career in cooking began in 1995. Trained at the Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, Kate first worked in restaurants, then directors’ dining rooms in The City, as well as for event companies, before becoming a personal chef in various private houses in London. Kate has also run her own catering business, providing delicious dinner parties, buffets, fridge food canapés and even three-course picnics at Ascot and Goodwood, for private clients in and around London.
Kate has always cooked in a healthy fashion and began to notice that food intolerances, or food-related health issues, are affecting an increasing number of peoples’ lives (including her own). Kate began to focus on incorporating these concerns into her style of cooking and menu planning, enabling her clients to eat a balanced healthy diet that was still varied and delicious – and when required, bespoke to their individual health requirements.
Realising that food is at the root of all health, Kate enrolled at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, graduating with a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy in 2014. Immediately following this, she started teaching the ‘Cooking for Health’ course at CNM and also trained in their Traditional Chinese Medicine Nutrition Diploma course, so as to combine Eastern and Western influences and bring in the energetics of food into her consultations and cooking. Kate taught and wrote lesson plans for CNM on their 'Natural Chef' course, which is now well-established but was the first of its kind in the country.
Kate brings her knowledge of healthy food and how to make it taste delicious, to everyone! As a nutritional therapist Kate gives her clients all the help and advice they need to get on the right track with their diet – through analysis and bespoke diet plans as well as cooking classes. Kate also teaches healthy cooking privately in the comfort of your own home.
